The Wreaths Across America annual event was held on December 14, 2019 - during which wreaths were placed on the graves of veterans at all the national cemeteries across the nation, including the one in Florence, SC.
This year rather than collecting donations at the monthly dinner meetings, members made donations by going on-line at either the Wreaths Across America website page:
www.WreathsAcrossAmerica.org/SC0017
Or the Blue Star Mothers website:
http://bluestarmothersofcoastalcarolina.com/wreaths_across_america
Or by mailing a check to “Wreaths Across America" at:
Blue Star Mothers of Coastal Carolina
P.O. Box 30307
Myrtle Beach, SC 29588
Wreaths cost $15.00 and every 2 wreaths we donated were matched by a 3rd wreath. In addition to individual member donations, the Grand Strand Chapter provided a $750 donation grant to Wreaths Across America - South Carolina. This provided 75 wreaths for the Veterans Cemetery in Florence, SC.
More information regarding volunteer opportunities for laying the wreaths at a nearby National Cemetery also can be found at the following websites:
