Welcome from Tony Prince, CAPT, USN (ret), President, Grand Strand Chapter of MOAA
Thank you for visiting our chapter website. The Grand Strand Chapter of MOAA is in its 62nd year as a leading regional veterans support organization and I am honored to serve as its president. Our chapter is an award winning group of 140 current and past military and uniformed service commissioned or warrant officers and spouses whose mission is to assist and support local veterans, families in need and students considering serving in the military. Our fundraising and outreach efforts enable us to provide material and other assistance to needy veterans and scholarships to JROTC and ROTC cadets. In addition, we work with other local, regional, state and national veteran support organizations to address the needs of struggling area veterans and their families.
Our chapter holds dinner meetings on the second Tuesday of each month (except July & August) at Pine Lakes Country Club in Myrtle Beach. Expert speakers and guests make for interesting social and educational programs for our members, their spouses and guests, and prospective members. We also offer several special events and outreach efforts each year to raise funds and provide assistance to hundreds of needy veterans and their families, plus College ROTC and High School JROTC students. Chapter members participate in meetings and events as they see fit and our leadership, experiences, resources and efforts go a long way to improving the lives of those we support.
If you have any questions about our chapter or any of its programs, text me at 703-304-7398. Thank you.
Jim Albert, LtCol (ret), USAF
