Guest Speaker: Mr. Paige Sawyer - an historian, photographer and former Georgetown City Council Member whose presentation, entitled Unapologetically American, will address American Patriotism. His biography is at the bottom of this invitation.

Please join us for our GS MOAA dinner meeting on Tuesday, April 9, 2024.
Social time begins at 5:30 PM with our program starting at 6PM. We expect to conclude around 7:45PM. Our program this month will include the honoring of Coastal Carolina University (CCU) Army ROTC cadets about to be commissioned as Second Lieutenants.

Dinner is $30 per person. PAYMENT MAY BE MADE BY CREDIT CARD ON-LINE, or by check, cash or credit card at the door. Either way, prior registration is essential as we need to provide a pre-headcount to our dining club host.
Dress is business casual. You are encouraged to bring your spouse and other guests, especially if those guests are prospective members or are members who attend the dinners infrequently.

Speaker Biography
Mr. Paige Sawyer, is an historian, photographer and former Georgetown City Council Member. He served four years in the U. S. Army Security Agency with 27 months in Viet Nam. He is a member of American Legion Post 114, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6444, Thomas Lynch Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution, Battery White Sons of Confederate Veterans, Georgetown 250th committee, past president of the Winyah Indigo Society and 16 years as a member of Georgetown City Council.
He and his wife Susan will be celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary in April and are active members of Duncan Memorial United Methodist Church. They have two sons, both Citadel graduates, a wonderful daughter-in-law and three grandchildren.
He has had a photography business since 1974 specializing in photographic portraits and restoration of old photographs. He also operates Old Georgetown Walking Tours and offers two different tours, one encompassing Georgetown's 300-year history and the other sharing the history of Francis Marion and his relationship to Georgetown. He refers to himself as a seventh generation South Carolinian pluff mud redneck who has a passion for history and the military.
